I know I didn’t stick as well to my TBR last month as I wished I had, but I did actually finish some books, one of which was a review copy I’d had for a long time. So for that, I am proud. This month starts my new work contract meaning I will be driving a lot for the next couple of weeks, meaning time for audiobooks. So I re-downloaded Audible on to my phone and am going to focus on finishing books on there as well as some other goals. I really want to stay away from purchasing books and read from the Library or Kindle Unlimited or what I already own, which I did not buy any books last month so that at least is a plus! This month, we shall see since I’ll have income again. I also need to finish some of the books that I started last month, so let’s see what I want to work on in March!

I have a few different goals this year for my reading. My first goal is I joined a reading challenge on Goodreads for a different genre each month of the year. Something else I would like to do would be to read older ARCs that I had been approved for and never read. I’d also like to read some more graphic novels, because I think I would like to watch more anime. The final challenge of the year for myself is my best friend Cheyenne and I are going to try and buddy read some things this year, to help motivate the other to continue to read. Let’s be honest. I’ve had a pretty rough year when it comes to anything that isn’t work or kpop related. I spend a majority of my time involved in those two things and the rest of my time sleeping, if I get good sleep as it is. So I’m deciding since we’re more than halfway through this crazy year I’m going to try to focus more on all the things I used to love to do. That means reading, and blogging, and hopefully even more things. So to start I’m going to give myself a TBR for the month of August. I’m not sure of any readathons happening, so what I’ve decided is I will give myself a couple of ARCs I have sitting around as well as maybe a couple re-reads or some books I know that I really had wanted to get in to before I just stopped reading. This way I don’t have a lot of pressure, and I still have some sort of goal to reach! I’ll probably be flooding you with posts here over the next couple of days, so let’s get right to my books!

Tome Topple TBR

Tomes are books that are over 500 pages. They are daunting and scary to think about reading. For the next two weeks, I am going to try to read three of them. Two on audiobook and one physically, so let’s see what books I am planning on reading!

Sam from Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube is the creator and host of this two week readathon. This round is going from November 9th to November 22nd. There are five challenges and I have three books I want to read.

Challenge One is to read more than one tome.
Challenge Two is to read the tome that has been on your self the longest
Challenge Three is to read a tome that is part of a series.
Challenge Four is to read a tome in a genre not usually read
Challenge Five is to read an adult novel

Recently I refreshed my mind on how A Discovery of Witches ended so I feel ready to finally take on the next book in that trilogy.
